MIZZLE AND MIST is a simple cardigan with a comfortable and relaxed boxy fit. I loved the fit of my Spring Tide cardigan so much, that I wanted to create something with a similar style, but a bit more casual and light, that you can just throw over your shoulders on those cool and dewy summer mornings.

The cardigan is worked top down flat, starting with a long i-cord that forms a decorative shoulder seam, and then shaping the shoulders of the back panel with short rows. Back and front panels are worked separately to the height of the armhole opening, and then joined together. The body of the cardigan is worked in Cartridge rib, which does not involve any purling, The sleeves are then picked up from the armholes and worked in the round in garter stitch. This cardigan does not have any neck shaping that makes the front panels sit a bit higher than the back creating an interesting silhouette.

The measurements listed below are for the final cardigan after washing and blocking. The pattern comes in 8 sizes (1, 2) (3, 4, 5, 6) (7, 8) with finished body circumference (with front bands overlapping) of (97.5, 109.5) (121.5, 133.5, 145.5, 157.5) (169.5, 181.5) cm / (39, 43.75) (48.5, 53.5, 58.25, 63) (67.75, 72.5) inches and is meant to be worn with a generous positive ease of 20 - 35 cm / 8 - 14 inches at the bust.

The wearer of the sample is 162 cm / 5‘4” with 90 cm / 36 inches bust. The sample is shown in size 3 with the positive ease of 31.5 cm / 12.5 inches.
